What this directory is

Malaysia Electrician Guide is an independent directory covering 493 electrician businesses across Malaysia. It exists for homeowners, landlords, and property managers who need to find a wireman, rewiring specialist, or general electrical contractor without wading through pages of search results. Each listing brings together public business details and a summary of recent Google review activity so you can compare providers on one page instead of ten tabs.

We built it around a simple idea: the electrician you hire should be chosen on how they actually perform, not on who spends the most on ads.

Where the data comes from

Every profile is built from published, publicly available business information plus a synthesis of recent Google reviews. We do not copy or republish review text. Instead we summarise what reviewers are consistently saying and link out to the business’s Google listing so you can read the original reviews yourself before you decide.

Because we pull from public sources, details occasionally go stale: a phone number changes, a service area expands, a business relocates. Any listed business can request a correction to its own factual details (address, phone, services offered, hours). What a business cannot do is edit its own score, sentiment summary, or ranking position. Those are generated from data, not from what the business would prefer them to say.

How ranking works

Rankings are earned. They come from a published rubric applied consistently to the data we collect, covering things like review volume, review recency, and consistency of positive sentiment over time. No business pays to move up the list, and no business can request a ranking change. The full rubric is explained on our methodology page, so you can check our working rather than take our word for it.

Sponsorship and enquiries

Some pages carry sponsored placements. These are always labelled “Sponsored,” displayed in a separate section from the earned rankings, and never blend into or alter the merit-based order below them.

Separately, Malaysia Electrician Guide also generates enquiries for local providers. When you ask to be matched with an electrician, we pass your enquiry to providers relevant to your request and may receive a referral fee for doing so. That arrangement is disclosed again on the quote page itself, and it never touches how any business is scored or ranked.

Who runs this

This directory is published by MY Homee Guides. Adam founded MY Homee Guides after ten years working in the Klang Valley home service industry, which gave him a close look at what homeowners actually struggle with when trying to find an electrician they can trust. That experience shaped the directory’s approach: build listings from real review data and public records, and let rankings be earned rather than bought.

Adam, as Managing Editor, maintains editorial oversight of the rankings. Data is refreshed monthly, and each listing carries a “last verified” date so you can see it’s being actively maintained rather than left to go out of date.
