This privacy policy covers Malaysia Electrician Guide, an independent directory of electrician businesses in Malaysia. The site is published by MY Homee Guides, who is responsible for the information described below. Questions about any of it can go to hi@myhomee.my.

Information this site collects

We collect personal information only when you submit a form. A submission includes your name, email address, phone number, message, and any answers about the service or timing you selected. It also includes the page URL you were on and how you arrived at the site (the referrer and any UTM parameters), which we use to understand where enquiries come from.

Where form submissions go

When you submit a form, our lead-capture processor handles the submission and passes it to two parties: the business your enquiry concerns and the operator of this site. Nothing you submit is published on the site itself.

Cookies and local storage

To keep attribution accurate, the site stores traffic-source details (referrer, landing page, UTM parameters) in your browser’s sessionStorage. This is first-party, lives only for the current browser session, and is not a tracking cookie: it never follows you to other sites and disappears when the session ends.

Analytics

Where analytics is enabled on this site, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager may set cookies to measure how visitors use the site. Those cookies are governed by Google’s own privacy policy.

Third-party services

Some page elements load from third-party services, which means those services see your browser’s requests (including your IP address): Google Fonts for typography, OpenStreetMap for map tiles, and Cloudflare Turnstile for spam protection on forms, when enabled. Each operates under its own privacy policy.

Where listing data comes from

The business listings on this site are compiled from publicly available sources, including Google Business Profile reviews. We store derived analysis (scores, summaries, sentiment), not raw review text. If your business is listed and you want a correction or removal, the listing policy explains how.

Your requests

Enquiry details are retained while they are needed to deliver and follow up the enquiry, and not longer than that purpose requires. You can ask for access to your information, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to hi@myhomee.my.
